Carry The Fire

A 28 Day Self-Guided Grief Retreat

  • Are you feeling lost, abandoned and confused?

  • Are you longing for clarity and direction through your darkness?

  • Are you yearning for comfort and calm amidst your grief storms?

  • Are you seeking meaning and purpose within your loss?

  • Are you searching for a pathway to move forward in your life?

Then Perhaps Its Time To Carry The Fire...

What Is Carry The Fire?

Carry The Fire is a 28-day multi-media grief program, or as we like to think of it, “a grief retreat.”

It is for anyone, at any point after a loss.

One week, one month, one year, one decade…

There is simply never a wrong time to mourn.

It is never too late to grieve.

Wherever you are on your journey, now is the perfect time to nurture yourself, heal your heart, and begin to carry the fire.

“I love this program! It’s healing. It’s spiritual. It’s practical! And it’s exactly what I needed after my dad died. Life was so busy. Being a professional, wife and mother, there where so many demands made upon me that I just didn’t make the time to grieve as I wanted and needed. However, years later, doing this program and exploring my grief over 28 days (less than an hour a day) has been so nurturing and healing. It’s exactly what I needed and why I recommend it to my clients, my friends and anyone I know who needs a grief retreat!”

"Lost. Overwhelmed. Confused. Shattered. This is how I felt after I lost a loved one. I didn’t know which way to go or how to proceed in my life. I simply was stuck, knew I needed guidance, but was not ready for a heavy lift, a long term commitment or complicated program. That’s when I found Baruch and Carry The Fire."

That is why the Carry The Fire Grief Retreat has been so invaluable to me, and I’m sure to countless others as well.”

Why 28 Days

Mystical 28

The inspiration behind 28 days comes from the ancient, kabbalistic practice of immersing oneself within their grief during the first month after the death of a loved one. Spiritually, the lunar month (28 days) symbolizes a time of transformation. After all, every month the moon is “born,” “dies” and is re-born, again and again.

The moon is tied to the menstrual cycle, also a journey of life, death, and rebirth. It is responsible for the tide and rhythm of the waves, much like grief, ebbing and flowing, pulsating one day and calm the next.

On so many levels, we make this journey, waning and waxing through darkness and light, ebbing and flowing through our grief, and 28 days symbolizes both our recognition of and commitment to this profound journey.

Lastly, in Kabbalah, 28 is numerologically tied to the Hebrew word for strength. When we are weary, we need to rest. When we are broken, we need to heal. When our loved one dies, we need both rest and healing. Carry The Fire is designed to help you regain your mental, emotional and spiritual strength.

“When my mom died tragically I didn’t know what to do or where to go. Thankfully I found my way to Soul Centered, and through a combination of Ariela’s healing and Baruch’s guidance, I not only survived those initial, turbulent soul storm’s, but have discovered so much meaning, purpose and blessing along the way. With this addition the Carry The Fire Grief Retreat, I now have so many of those tools and teachings at my fingertips and turn to them daily to help me continue my journey through grief, find comfort during the lonely nights of sorrow, and a truly soul soothing refuge when the storms descend now and again.”

Carry The Fire will not magically make your suffering go away.

However, in the words of Dr. Viktor Frankl, “In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning.”

What this program can do is offer you the opportunity to discover deeper meaning, realize a greater purpose, and experience profound inspiration within the depths of your darkness after the death of your loved one.

There are sparks waiting to be discovered in the dark. Together we will find them, fan them into a flame and that flame into a fire as you learn to carry the fire, not in spite of your loss, because of it. You Carry The Fire for your loved one, for yourself, for the living and for those who are waiting for you, watching you and learning from you. One day they will walk in your footsteps, carry your fire as they pass the fire down from generation to generation.

FAQ

When you register for the Carry The Fire 28-Day Grief Retreat you will receive an introductory email with a welcome and instructional video, along with your first day’s activity. The next day you will receive your first unit, consisting of all the material you will need for three days. Thereafter you’ll receive a new unit packet of videos and assignments every three days (9 units in total). Each day consists of an introductory video and various assignments to support you on your journey through grief.

There are very few absolutes when it comes to grief, and certainly, there is no one-size-fits-all time frame (as you will explore in the program). It is your grief. It is your journey. It is your time frame. Carry The Fire is a program to nurture and support you through your grief, and you can certainly extend this program, engaging it every two or three days over the course of two or three months. However, it is our experience that containing it within a 28 day period is most impactful, even if it means doing less each day.

After a loss, the last thing you need is another obligation or burden. Carry The Fire should certainly not be one of them. Indeed, there are multiple options for you to engage on any given day, however, they should be thought of not as “have-to’s,” rather, they are “get-to’s.” You get to do what you want, whichever speaks to you that day. Maybe you watch the video and reflect upon that day’s theme and call it a day. Perhaps you choose to follow the journaling prompts, or just want to be guided in a healing meditation. Think of it as a “choose your own adventure.” This program provides you choices, so choose whatever you feel will bring you the guidance you need and comfort you deserve!

Carry The Fire can be engaged in one sitting or divided up during the course of the day. Some people choose to watch that day’s video in the morning and to engage the activities in the evening. Others have shared they like to watch the video and journal in the morning, while doing the meditations or other bonus activities upon returning from work, or after the kids are in bed. Some have shared they save the bonus activities, such as yoga, for the weekends. There is simply no right way, or wrong way to grieve. All that matters is you do in whatever way works for you.

Yes! Carry The Fire is perfectly suited to be done with a friend, partner or family member. It is crucial we feel supported and have a sense of connection when going through grief. The more support we have the better. Having someone engage this program and do this work with us can be deeply meaningful.

Soul Centered offers periodic, small group experiences, as well as providing small group opportunities to organizations such as: hospice, churches, synagogues, grief centers, funeral homes, family and social welfare organizations, and many more.

Upon purchasing Carry The Fire you will be redirected to a third-party site called, “Thinkific,” where you will have to sign up for a new account (if you don’t have one already). This simply requires choosing a username and password, at which point you will have immediate access to all 28 days of the program. Again, you can choose to do the program at your own pace, however, you will also receive emails every three days (9 units) to support you, offer you some bonus insights and inspire you along your journey.

Please note, all purchases are final. We are always available and willing to address any questions, thoughts or concerns you may have about this program or any of our Soul Centered offerings.

“A person dies two deaths: once when their body dies and another when their story dies. Although there is nothing we can do about physical death. We are the guardians of their story. We can defy death. We do this when we Carry The Fire.”
